The Negociating Table, exhibition signage, leaflet, 2019.

Graphic principle, logo, texts and labels layout, and leaflet design for The Negociating Table, an exhibition carried out by the CyDRe team of designers (Cycle Design Recherche, ÉSAD Saint-Étienne), on the occasion of the Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Étienne 2019.

By twisting and playing with the decorum of the big political bodies, along with objects that refer to alternative types of public speaking, this exhibition intends to question, from a designer’s point of view, the “negociating table” as an exclusive decision making space. The signage, that falls within a global collective project, follows that aim, especially in the choice of an emblem logo and in its drawing, that denotes the critical mischief spirit of the exhibition.
